Teaching Practice and Feedback

We have a proper teaching practice class in Yoga Therapy Teacher Training program. You will get opportunities to teach the Iyengar Yoga Postures for yoga therapy. Initially, you will start teaching one-on-one and then teaching in small groups. Finally, you will lead and teach a larger group at the end of the course.

You will practice pranayama, mudras, and meditation teaching in their respective classes.

For the laughter yoga module, you will practice teaching instructions, body language, presentation skills, laughter exercises, laughter meditation, and group dynamic activities in one on one or small groups.

You will receive teaching feedback based on your teachings from your teacher and batchmates. This will help you improve your communication and teaching skills. Further, it will help you find your unique style as a Yoga Therapy Teacher.

Art of Sequencing

You will learn the art and principles of creating a Yoga Therapy sequence using Iyengar Yoga Postures for a disease or an ailment.

This will cover pacing and class management of Iyengar Yoga Postures flow or sequences for different body types, and ailments, to heal physical, mental & emotional issues. You will also learn to create a complete yoga therapy for a disease or an ailment using different healing tools like asanas, pranayama, mudras, kriya, yoga nidra, ayurvedic diet, laughter therapy, and meditation.

 

Art of Teaching

Practicum & Final assessment

Students will go through three types of assessments: first is a written exam, then they have to demonstrate the technique ( Asana, Pranayama, or meditation) and finally, they will go through the teaching practicum where they have to teach the complete asana class.

During the final stage of the Practicum of  Yoga Therapy Teacher Training program, you have to lead and teach a 90-minute self-designed yoga therapy class.

I would highly recommend the Yin yoga and meditation teacher training program from Yoga Chaitanya. I experienced enriching and profound four weeks, in which I was able to learn a lot about meditation and also about myself. We learn all the details of yin yoga and the different types of meditations required for modern man, and various philosophies. The last part of the training is very interesting the laughter therapy & self-discovery module. It was a life-changing experience and I discovered immense joy and peace within myself. I definitely would come back for further trainings!

I am Sukhvinder Singh, founder and director of Yoga Chaitanya International Institute and I will be your lead teacher/trainer in 200-hour yoga teacher training courses.

I was born in India in a spiritual Sikh family. My philosophical, yogic, and Vedic education started at the age of 13 years along with my primary education. After schooling, I did Engineering & started working with different MNCs for almost one decade, but I was missing something in my life. So I pursued my passion for yoga & meditation.

I started visiting different yoga and meditation ashrams and did many meditative therapies such as mystic rose, no mind, born again, and vipassana meditation. 

I am certified in Hatha yoga from Bharatiya Vidya Bhawan (A subsidiary of Bihar School of Yoga), ERYT-500 from Yoga Alliance USA in Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga, Yin Yoga, Vinyasa flow, therapeutic Iyengar yoga, and Ayurveda. 

I am a certified Laughter Yoga Teacher from International Laughter Yoga University and, a Meditation Teacher from Osho International.

Our yoga Shala has a waterfall view. It is a perfect destination for all the beach and hill lovers. It is a place of tranquility & solace. You will stay at a beautiful Resort in North Goa, India. The Resort has a clean, pollution-free hygienic atmosphere and efficient 24×7 staff. The resort provides beautiful twin-sharing and single-room accommodations with en-suite bathrooms.

All rooms have a balcony and chair and appropriate lighting. There is a security guard at night for the safety of the students. Some common areas and entrances are under CCTV surveillance for the security of students & staff.

There is a parking space for cars /scooters as well. The center includes a vegetarian restaurant where can can have tasty and nutritious yogic meals. You will always get Wi-Fi and filtered drinking water in the kitchen area.

Yoga training in Dharamshala

We are located in Tangroti village of Dharamshala, India. For the Yoga TTC courses, you will stay in a Resort located at the hilltop of Tangroti village in Dharamshala. It’s a very peaceful place in the lap of nature. The resort is surrounded by the Himalayas hills and Chir Pine, Oak, and Deodar tree forests, and an old temple. You can feel the silence of the jungle & Himalayas.
