The duration of this Yin yoga training & meditation certification course is 25 days. Yin Yoga comes from the Taoist philosophy, the concept of Yin and Yang. In Taoism, Yin represents the passive, receptive, and cooling qualities. Whereas Yang represents the active, dynamic, and heating qualities. Yin Yoga balances these opposing energies within the body.

Yin Yoga was created by Paulie Zink, a martial artist and yoga teacher. He combined his knowledge of Taoist philosophy, martial arts, and yoga to develop the practice of Yin. Later Sarah Powers and Paul Grilley evolved Yin yoga using their knowledge.

In Yin Yoga, we hold the poses for an extended period to target the deep connective tissues. This promotes flexibility and energy flow ( chi or prana) within the body or meridian. Yin Yoga is subtle, slow, gentle, soft, relaxing, and meditative.

Teaching Practice and Feedback

We have a proper teaching practice class in Yin Yoga & Meditation Teacher Training program. You will get opportunities to teach the Yin Yoga Postures, and active, passive meditations. Initially, you will start teaching one-on-one and then teaching in small groups. Finally, you will lead and teach a larger group at the end of the course.

You will practice pranayama, mudras, and meditation teaching in their respective classes.

For the laughter yoga module, you will practice teaching instructions, body language, presentation skills, laughter exercises, laughter meditation, and group dynamic activities in one on one or small groups.

You will receive teaching feedback based on your teachings from your teacher and batchmates. This will help you improve your communication and teaching skills. Further, it will help you find your unique style as a Yoga Therapy Teacher.

Art of Sequencing

You will learn the art and principles of creating a Yin Yoga sequence for a disease or an ailment or special body requirements.

This will cover pacing and class management of yin flow or sequences for different body types, and ailments, to heal physical, mental & emotional issues. You will also learn the principles of sequencing a Yinyasa Flow class using the Yin poses and dynamic sequences. How to create your sequence covering yin poses, pranayama, mudras, and meditation.

 Art of Teaching

Practicum & Final assessment

Students will go through three types of assessments: first is a written exam, then they have to demonstrate the technique ( Asana, Pranayama, or meditation) and finally, they will go through the teaching practicum where they have to teach the complete asana class.

During the final stage of the Practicum of Yin Yoga & Meditation Teacher Training program, you have to lead and teach a 90-minute self-designed Yin yoga class.

I would highly recommend the Yin yoga and meditation teacher training program from Yoga Chaitanya. I experienced enriching and profound four weeks, in which I was able to learn a lot about meditation and also about myself. We learn all the details of yin yoga and the different types of meditations required for modern man, and various philosophies. The last part of the training is very interesting the laughter therapy & self-discovery module. It was a life-changing experience and I discovered immense joy and peace within myself. I am Sukhvinder Singh, founder and director of Yoga Chaitanya International Institute and I will be your lead teacher/trainer in 200 hour yoga teacher training courses.

I was born in India in a spiritual Sikh family. My philosophical, yogic, and Vedic education started at the age of 13 years along with my primary education. After schooling, I did Engineering & started working with different MNCs for almost one decade, but I was missing something in my life. So I pursued my passion for yoga & meditation.

I started visiting different yoga and meditation ashrams and did many meditative therapies such as mystic rose, no mind, born again, and vipassana meditation. 

I am certified in Hatha yoga from Bharatiya Vidya Bhawan (A subsidiary of Bihar School of Yoga), ERYT-500 from Yoga Alliance USA in Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga, Yin Yoga, Vinyasa flow, therapeutic Iyengar yoga, and Ayurveda. 

I am a certified Laughter Yoga Teacher from International Laughter Yoga University and, a Meditation Teacher from Osho International.

The location of our yoga training school is miles away from the hustles & bustles of the city in the lush green hills of the beautiful village of Keri. We are surrounded by the scenic & serene beaches of Querim, Arambol, Mandrem, Ashvem, and Morjim. Sweet Water Lake and historical Terekhol Fort Redi Ganesh Temple are also close to our place.

Our yoga Shala has a waterfall view. It is a perfect destination for all the beach and hill lovers. It is a place of tranquility & solace. You will stay at a beautiful Resort in North Goa, India. The Resort has a clean, pollution-free hygienic atmosphere and efficient 24×7 staff. The resort provides beautiful twin-sharing and single-room accommodations with en-suite bathrooms.

All rooms have a balcony and chair and appropriate lighting. There is a security guard at night for the safety of the students. Some common areas and entrances are under CCTV surveillance for the security of students & staff.

There is a parking space for cars /scooters as well. The center includes a vegetarian restaurant where can can have tasty and nutritious yogic meals. You will always get Wi-Fi and filtered drinking water in the kitchen area.

Yoga training in Dharamshala

Our Yoga school is located in Tangroti village of Dharamshala, India. For the Yoga TTC courses, you will stay in a Resort located at the hilltop of Tangroti village in Dharamshala. It’s a very peaceful place in the lap of nature. The resort is surrounded by the Himalayas hills and Chir Pine, Oak, and Deodar tree forests, and an old temple. You can feel the silence of the jungle & Himalayas.

We provide clean single and shared rooms all with en-suite Italian bathrooms and a centralized air conditioning system. All the rooms have a balcony with chairs, common space & library. The resort has a clean, pollution-free hygienic atmosphere and efficient 24×7 staff with CCTV surveillance and parking space.

Food in Teacher Training Courses

We at Yoga Chaitanya believe that “Food is Medicine” (Ayurveda reference). This is why food plays a vital role in yoga, meditation & spiritual courses and programs.

All meals are pure Vegetarian. The meals include seasonal fruits, vegetables, and juices. Each meal is freshly prepaid with local Indian ingredients with light seasoning to nourish the meals with essential nutrients. All the foods are served fresh within a short time after the preparation so that the vital life energy/prana is not lost.

Yin Yoga and Meditation Teacher Training FAQ's

Yoga Chaitanya’s Multistyle 200-Hour Teacher Training course is designed to deepen your understanding and practice of Yin Yoga and Meditation. You will learn Yin Yoga and different meditation techniques in detail. After completion of this yoga course, you will get 200 hour Yoga Alliance certification. You will become a meditation instructor and a yin yoga teacher.

This Yin Yoga & meditation Teacher Training course is open to all. Yoga enthusiasts of all levels, from beginners to experienced practitioners. If you aspiring yoga teachers, psychologists and psychiatrists, addiction specialists, influencers motivational speakers, or alternative healing Practitioners.

We recommend that you should have practiced yoga for at least 6 months before the 200 hour yoga teacher training course. However, this is a suggestion and not a strict requirement.

You will learn the practice and philosophy of Yin Yoga. In Yin Yoga, we will explore 40-50 Yin Poses. In meditations, you will learn traditional, active, passive, and short meditation techniques. This training also covers laughter yoga and laughter therapy. In addition to this, you’ll learn about anatomy, sequencing, alignment, teaching methodology, mudras, bandhas, and pranayamas. Any prior yoga experience is always beneficial, but this training is open to individuals of all levels, including beginners. It’s designed to cater to diverse backgrounds and abilities.

To receive Yoga Alliance certification as a 200 hour Yin Yoga and Meditation teacher, you must complete the entire training program, including class hours, assignments, teaching practicum, and assessments.
